The Aster Story

We started with a manual system to remove internship hiring noise.

Aster began as hands-on execution, not a slide deck. We observed where capable students were blocked, where companies were overloaded, and built a process that produced better outcomes on both sides.

Journey

From fragmented outreach to a repeatable hiring system

  1. Phase 01

    Seeing the mismatch

High-capability students were missing strong roles because access was scattered and outreach was unstructured.

  2. Phase 02

    Running the process manually

We mapped startups, sent structured outreach, screened for intent, and built interview pipelines by hand.

  3. Phase 03

    Proving it in the field

Around 100 students from BITS Pilani landed internships in high-growth teams with INR 15,000 to INR 50,000 stipends.

  4. Phase 04

    Turning process into product

Aster productizes that system into a transparent, measurable, and repeatable hiring engine.

Core Principles

What the product is designed to protect

Clarity over noise

Students see where they stand. Companies see why candidates are shortlisted. Everyone gets a shared operating view.

Structured execution

Applications, outreach, interviews, and updates follow one clear workflow instead of fragmented tools and guesswork.

Measured outcomes

The goal is not more clicks. The goal is better matches, faster decisions, and real internship outcomes.

Aster is built for anyone serious about internship outcomes.

The story started at BITS Pilani, but the mission is broader: make opportunity accessible for students and make talent reachable for companies without trading quality for speed.
